Vision underground

so does anyone know a way to increase the visible distance underground? Just curious.

You can stand on a ramp that leads to the surface and you'll see farther into the cave.

The game doesn't have any light sources yet. I believe that's on the todo list but I don't remember how far off it is, or if it's even scheduled.

I've always wondered if having a superhuman memory would help you remember more of the area you've visited, which would be especially helpful underground, but I've never been motivated enough to try to test it.
