I think the white board was the show stopper. Infact it was so great that right after using the white board you find the game incredibly dull.
Rule of game design: Never put the white board early in game.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

The game aside, I am loving the trailers. I really enjoy them, just brings out the humor of duke in my opinion.

I may like the new song they use, I feel I need to listen to some Megadeth now...

Someone just let's played the demo. To be honest, the game looks like Halo with pigcops and shrink rays.

Three days till the release. We shall see how good the game actually is. Or isn't. Also, by we, I mean those who actually bought the game, no way I'm dropping 50 bucks to pre purchase any game at all.

Thankfully, the game comes out in Europe four days before North America. And, if memory serves, it still counts as 'pre-ordering' the game up until the official launch.

So, if the demo was complete lies and the game is actually 12 years of concentrated awesome (never mind that the demo, by that logic, should have been 11 years of complete awesome...), you'll have 4 days to listen to European reviews and comments before committing.

(This assumes you're living in NA. If not, well, sorry guys! At least you get to use this tactic for the other 99% of games that release in NA first.  ;) )

I'm pretty tempted at this point to skip the game and just watch all the funny bits on youtube.   :P

South America actually, but probably could get it on steam as pre-launch until the NA release. But currently I'm not about to drop 50 bucks in a game that easily. So unless the game is so good that over a decade of development is actually justified, I will wait till the game is at least 75% off, if ever. I'll just watch some let's play and/or see the nicer parts in the tube.
