Wooden spears

Is there any significant difference (specifically for danger room purposes) between wooden spears such as those made by elves, and wooden training spears?

Yes. Wooden spears are sharp. Wooden training spears are dull. Spears are thus significantly more dangerous than training spears. Training spears' stab attack has 10x the contact area as normal spears, making normal spears roughly 10x as dangerous.

Theres a reason we use the training ones for danger rooms instead of the actual ones :P

Wooden spears are good vs leather armor, and possibly even wooden armor or bone armor because it's a spear. Training spears are barely effective vs pig tail fiber clothing.

In addition, I think I've seen a difference from which wood is used.
Featherwood training spears never killed anything in my danger rooms (back when I used them).
Glumprong did.

This makes sense, due to the significant weight difference.

Training spears do
Stab -> 2.000 blunt damage
Shaft bash -> 50 blunt damage

regular spears do
Stab -> 800 edge damage or 20.000 blunt damage if they aren't able to penetrate armour
Shaft bash -> 50 blunt damage

the power is modified by the material so a feather tree training spear is the safest in terms of spears....
