Question, how do I set a "bookmark"?

I know that F1 takes you to where your wagon was unless you presumably change it, but I want to bookmark a magma pool so I can quick go to it. Of all the time I've played I've never figured this out, though not through difficulty, exactly.... Anyway yeah, please help.

From the main screen, enter the (h)otkeys menu. Scroll the map to the place where you want to be able to zoom to later. Then, hit F1-F8 or SHIFT+F1-F8, and finally hit (z). From that point until you redefine that particular hotkey, you can zoom to that place on the map with the appropriate hotkey.
