Embark Layers

...Is there any way in the current version of DF to tell whether or not you'll be embarking on top of sedimentary layers? I really dislike the change to the extremely vague 'Shallow Metals' 'Deep Metals' text).

inb4 "already a hundred threads on this"

I've got this great area of limestone/bitcoal/magnetite I'm scumming off of, and the biome doesn't even report "flux stone". I discovered that clusters and veins change every time you embark in a world, and rivers run anew, which is the right way to deal with things I guess.

at this point, it's just you rolls the dice and you takes your chances. once I get something together I really like, I'm gonna put it in DFFD's pregen'd worlds section, I think.
