Author Topic: Why aren't my dwarves storing milk in barrels or pots 31.25  (Read 483 times)

My milkers are using the buckets as storage and they're canceling the milking order because there aren't any empty buckets. I'm like 'No shit sherlock, buckets are for carrying milk, not storing it'. So far, I've made 3 buckets and tried to make my milker use the barrels like he used to, but he takes the buckets and places them in the food stockpile nearby once they're full of milk.

Come to think of it I've never seen a dwarf store milk into barrels or pots. Do you have plenty of empty barrels/pots?

NVM, it turns out that I don't have enough haulers, so the milk buckets are just going into the stockpile and waiting there until a hauler can get to it.

Milk is put into a bucket from the animal. The bucket is taken to a food stockpile. There, an unoccupied dwarf moves the milk from the bucket to a barrel.

Lack of haulers? I wish my fort was that busy.
