"friendly" visiting dragon?
« on: April 12, 2008, 01:31:00 pm »

i'm new here so if this is known or anything just kill the topic...
will post a save tommorrow if that helps (just tell me how/where).

ok so its version 38b, dwarffort with a pocket sized game, no mods.

have a dragon "visiting" as it says(in the unit list) but hes not attacking anyone,
and my army isn't attacking him, he is destroying buildings, seemingly heading somewhere,
but he gets interrupted, mid destruction, by people walking over him, so he gets to a point then just stops...
doesn't trigger traps either. is this supposed to happen?
this is first megabeast this fort has seen.
i have previous beasts on other games, but they were all evil...

it maybe the -exact- dragon my adventurer was supposed to be hunting when he 'retired' so i could create this fortress

How... unusual.

Perhaps it just wants a meeting with your leader, but is throwing tantrums because your leader is always "too busy"?

I've encountered this bug and reported it. Dunno if Toady fixed it yet. Search for a "Visitin' Ettin" thread.

yes that is the bug, but mine had arrived, doesn't have a long name,
and i'm not near a town or cave... so methinks he is here to kill
someone/something specific, but not me... like captured goblins,
or the ex-traders' mule/cow in similar cages(who i cant get rid of).

lol @ I had a guard say "When you wake up in the morning, consider torture." - Toady One
i had a whole town telling me to 'give myself to death'
