One of my dwarves goes into fey mood while in jail for violation of production order. Since then nothing in justice seems to work. No other dwarf can go into jail and the dwarf with the strange mood cannot get out of jail. Also the data in the justice screen never change and is uncomplete(don't write the sentence, how many days in jail etc.). Finally i get this message once "Dungeon Master cancels releasing large creature: Wrong justice state".
I tried to save according the advice given in the only post that match the words "wrong justice state" i found while searching the forum. The result was to take the same message again exactly when i continue.

Do you have a save I can look at?  I'll need the region folder in some kind of zip/rar/7z, and any new objects that were added to the raw folder.  If it's less than 20 megs, you can send it to toadyone@bay12games.com.  You can also try The Dwarf Fortress File Depot which has a special section for bugged saves.

Something similar happened in one of my games, but it fixed itself after a while.

He got locked up in a cage, but I didn't have a Captain of the Guard.  Just Fortress Guards.  Once I assigned someone to the Captain of the Guard position, then the guy got let loose.

Finally, i tried to melt the cage with the dwarf. After that the dwarf was free, he also take a good thought for that, but he dies from melancholy. The good news are that justice start to work once again, after the cage was melted.
