Headgear Confuses Dwarves
« on: January 09, 2007, 09:33:00 am »

It's possible to put on a helm over a leather or cloth cap (maybe even over an iron cap, not sure); since the cap is both clothing and armor, a military dwarf doesn't remove it when he's told to stop being a soldier. However, if I tell said dwarf to wear plate, he goes to the armor stockpile, puts on the iron helm, then stands there until he starves / dehydrates to death.

I'm *guessing* he's trying to remove the (inferior) cloth/leather cap, and can't on account of his helm.

I'm currently using this as an IQ test (you must be -this- smart to enter the military), since I have plenty of spare dwarves. While an amusing feature, this might happen to a dwarf I care about, and that would suck.

Little champions.  There are a few things it could be.  Should be a straightforward process to fix it, anyway.
