Water breathing dwarf baby
« on: November 08, 2007, 01:19:00 pm »

While I was inspecting the units list from a rather devastating colossus attack I noticed a dwarf marked in blue. It turned out to be a baby who, for some reason ended up on the bottom of my moat. I assumed it got knocked out of her mothers hand during the brawl with colossus. I tried carving a staircase next to the place where she fell in, but no dwarf volunteered to carry her out so I marked her off as a loss. The strange thing is, while her stats showed she was drowning she managed to live on. I was hoping that when winter rolled in I could carve her out of the ice but after a month, just before the water would froze she drowned  :(

It's a rotten shame. That kid would likely have grown up to be an excellent swimmer, or deathly afraid of water.

Well, in real life babies take to the water very well. I'm not sure if that's one of those " Little things " intended by Toady or not.
