For those of you who played, or not, through Bioshock Infinite, here's a long, interesting and comprehensive, article about its combat mechanics, compared to earlier "-schock" games:

It explains nicely why I felt that the combat was not very good in BI.

Just finished the game and I greatly enjoyed it. I found myself attached to Elizabeth and actually caring about her plight, and the presentation of Columbia was very juicy and interesting. The bit after the credits left me feeling an odd sensation of wistfulness and hope for Dewitt.

Thinking back to it, the gameplay was acceptable enough for me to not really notice it and play the game to let the narrative unfold. In that manner it's sort of like Spec Ops: The Line, where I didn't enjoy the gameplay much but was riveted enough to continue for the plot. Bioshock Infinite really reeled me into its atmosphere.

I never finished the first Bioshock, and didn't play the second, so I approached this game as though it were a standalone videogame not in a series, which seems to have worked just fine. I got a lot of fun out of this. The last game I had the motivation to play to the end was Sleeping Dogs, so it's nice to get around to completing another one.

Just realized I missed ALL the music from the future easter eggs. Didnt recognize the song in the beginning by the four guys and missed the rest completely. O.o

I decided to give a try to the original bioshock, it was pretty good too. I especially liked Andrew ryan, he was awesome.

Is this game worth it's current 59.99$ price tag, or should I wait for a sale?

I know this won't be on sale until it's a bit forgotten.

IMO, it's a great game, so I'd say it's worth something between 40 and 50$. Thus yes, you could wait for a sale.

DLC coming out; Burial at Sea. Seems to be an alternative-Booker 'n' Elizabeth in Rapture before its fall. Lovely. Booker actually gets to do some detectivin', I'd assume (well, I'll probably still enjoy it if it's a shootfest).

See the choker on the girl in the trailer?

There...we have our answer on where Elizabeth went.

Damn it, Bioware! STOP DOING THIS! I mean...I know the game of Columbia was nice and all but...will there be choices this time around in the dlc or not?
Please, please let there be choices.
Please.

........... Finally got around to playing the DLC......

While short, played on the 1999 Mode makes the game more annoying and thrilling at the same time due to the speed of which you can go down compared to the "respawning" and amount of splicers that appear. Actually plays a bit stealthy then Bioshock Infinite tbh...

Regardless. The ENDING....

One thing I wouldn't mind knowing. Elizabeth wears the Pendent I chose during Infinite, the bird. Does she wear the cage if you chose it? Does the game remember???
