Time for my Next review ^_^

***ONGOING REVIEW OF WASTELAND MOD BY DEON***

INITIAL REVIEW AND THOUGHTS

The whole concept behind this Mod is to remake the Fallout universe and lore into the DF world. Deon has done pretty good job at introducing a lot of the Fallout universe and feel of Fallout into DF. He has also done pretty well so far with keeping the mod updated, he has been increadibly busy however of late so hasnt been able to keep it as up to date as he would like.

This Mod is also one of the more popular mods and already has a few LPs for it - Links will be at the bottom of the post. True the Mod isnt with the most popular mods e.g. Fortress Defense, Genesis, Civ Forge or Corrosion; but it is still incredibly popular and rightly so.

I play a lot of Deon's Genesis mod and I highly rate Deon as a modder, he is always active and very willing to talk to anyone that wishes to talk to. He also seem to know how to make things work VERY well ^_^.

So what does this mod give us? It gives you new pets, robotic pets. A new playable race, the Vault Dwellers, a complete revamp of all the items, names, plants, materials, civilizations and classes. And you can completely re-inact the whole Fallout Universe all over again if u want, or u could try and recreate the fallout universe the way you want it.

Overall I think the Mod is incredibly well looked after by a completely great Modder and person. This mod is probably going to end up being one of my favourites, even more so since I enjoy fallout :P. But there could be more to the mod and a lot more emphasise on having to keep "fresh" water all the time and trying to make all the water irradiated etc.

Ratings
Originality - 8/10 - The whole concept of remaking all the dwarves, civilizations, Workshops and creatures etc to completely re-make Fallout is done VERY well. But again there is new Civs, new Weapons and new Plants etc, which we have all already seen from many other mods
Bugs - N/A - Not played long enough to know
Modders Involvement - 8/10 - I would say Deon spends more of his time concentrating on the Genesis mod than this one, it is more popular :P
Modders Perceived Kindness - 10/10 - Deon IS Incredibly kind and helpful, he is always willing to talk to anyone, is constantly active and always chats and comments on my vids
Integration of Ideas - 9/10 - Deon has done a great job in remaking the Fallout universe into the DF world
Difficulty -N/A - Need more time to know how difficult this mod can be
Overall - 8/10 - All in all a really good mod with a very UNIQUE concept and Idea, well worth checking out.

Love how the Robo-brains medigel literally fell out of the brain dome without breaking the glass. Wouldn't that be a bug. Other than that this has probably been my favorite initial video so far.
Gah! Giant Ants! Kill those Giant Ants! How did you get hurt by Giant Ants? etc.

I do not remember it happening to me, probably has something to do with temperature or some messing with tissues. It should be an easy bug to fix.

Right now I have quite a weird modding schedule (considering the diploma, science grand and now a new conference I should participate in...). So basically it's Genesis -> Shadowrun -> Wasteland.

The "Genesis" part needs some tweaking for a better experience (TomiTapio does a great job there) but it's more or less complete... Right now I am on the Shadowrun phase (which works backwards, because all mundane and some fantasy creatures will move back to Genesis, so we will get zebras, armadillos, bisons etc.). Then I will use the base of THAT to remake Wasteland in a better manner.

Thank you for the reviews, Ult1mara :P. I know you don't want to offend anyone so you give us high reviews, but I will give myself 3/10 in involvement in relation to the Wasteland mod, I haven't worked on it for a while due to the time limits.

Time for my Next review ^_^

***ONGOING REVIEW OF CORROSION MOD BY IT 000***

INITIAL REVIEW AND THOUGHTS

So time to talk about the next mod that I have recorded. This mod is off course the Corrosion mod. This is such a GOOD mod in my eyes and the community that supports this mod is incredibly active. I really enjoy keeping on top of the updates to this mod and the whole thread and community of the ppl doing and playing this mod. This mod has become incredibly popular very fast as of late, mainly due to the fact that the mod is so good IMO.

What do I think of "IT 000"? Well I think this person is incredibly nice and very active, but that is probably just me as they have put me on the OP of this mod's thread ^_^. Other than that IT seems to try and stay constantly involved with the thread and tries to consider what everyone says and sees what they can do to improve the mod every single day, well this is wat I think :P

Ok enough about wat I think of the thread and the community :P. Onto to the actual mod itself. Now Corrosion DF has it's very own storyline behind it, please check out the forum thread to find it out, but basically think "I AM LEGEND" but with vampires being replaced with zombies ^_^. This makes this mod incredibly original in my eyes and it means that a lot of this game is based in the open and not within the mountains, especially since it is DEADLY to mine :P. Which is also another original thing, to make a lot of the stones within the mountains deadly to mine and ur miners could be killed for just MINING, which is the basic concept of DF :P.

So what do I think of this mod? Well what I think is that this mod is incredibly original, has a lot of new concepts to add to DF, forces you to build an above ground fort - normally harder in the first place, you have to try and build defences as quickly as possible just so u dont get killed in ur first year, you have to avoid mining at the start because it will likely kill ur miners. So all in all the mod is really "FUN" and I think it has a very bright future, especially if IT 000 can do the things that they want to do in the future. It is a mod DEFINITELY worth trying out in my eyes.

Ratings
Originality - 10/10 - I think this mod is the first mod that I have seen that FORCES u to build outside and almost forces u to NOT go into the mountain, it also has it's own unique way of doing things and you have to play as humans too.
Bugs - N/A - Unsure yet As I have not really played the mod enough
Modders Involvement - 8/10 - The Thread for this mod is very active and IT seems to be constantly trying to keep on top of everything.
Modders Perceived Kindness - 9/10 - IT seems incredibly nice, they will try and do what ppl ask of them, if it coincides with the goals of the mod
Integration of Ideas - 10/10 - I think the whole Idea of the game is Incredibly well integrated into the game, some things could be added but that cannot happen untill after some updates
Difficulty - 10/10 - You get attacked within the first year and constistently and the "infected" can Easily overrun a fort quickly if you dont have an adequate amount of defence
Overall - 9/10 - I really enjoy this mod and I am really really really looking forward to LPing more of this mod, more so since IT has me on the OP ^_^ <3 u IT

Time for my Next review ^_^

***ONGOING REVIEW OF MONSTER HUNTER UNIVERSE MOD BY IADOS***

INITIAL REVIEW AND THOUGHTS

So now it is time to do an initial review on the Monster Hunter Universe Mod. This mod is based on the games of Monster Hunter. It adds in a LOT of new creatures and lots of new materials and some new weapons, ammo types and armour types, pretty similar to most other mods tbh. However this mod does introduce craftable fire arrows and you can also coat your arrows. Another thing this mod introduces is increased strength in bones, meaning things are harder to kill. All in all I dont think this mod really introduces too many new concepts that other mods dont already do, maybe being able to coat your arrows and tougher bones are something this mod does different.

What do I make of the modder Iados? Well they are incredibly active in their own thread, Iados is always replying to things on the MHU Thread and pretty helpful. Iados did put the files into the basic ASCII Dwarf Fortress file, and also has the files as a separate DL for those who dont mind "copy-pasting". However Iados has not put the graphics they have made into this DL, instead u have to still "copy-paste" the graphics :(. This is a little annoying tbh, sorry Iados - I did ask if it was just an ASCII version, got no reply, and also asked if there was going to be a graphical release as well, no reply :(.

The mod isnt the most popular of mods, kinda for good reason as it is pretty similar to all others IMO, but is pretty active, 11 pages of replies with only 6k views. I wouldnt say that was all that bad.

So what do I think of this mod? Well I think this mod is just a bog standard mod that introduces new things that most other mods have, and some do it better than this e.g. Genesis mod, Forgotten Realms etc. However the concept of the whole concentration of the Adventure mode, due to increased monsters/beasts, makes it "fun" for ppl who enjoy the adventure - I do not.

Ratings
Originality - 5/10 - Adds new things that most mods have e.g. new plants, gear and materials; true with different stats and names but still.
Bugs - N/A - not played the mod enough to judge
Modders Involvement - 7/10 - Iados seems to be very active in the forum thread for MHU but doesnt seem to try "hard" enough to appease the customers.
Modders Perceived Kindness - 6/10 - I have no idea tbh how kind Iados is as I dont really get much of a response from Iados, unlike Deon, IT000 and Tataku
Integration of Ideas - 7/10 - For what there is to this mod it seems that most things have been added into DF and have "increased" the enjoyment of DF as a whole
Difficulty - N/A - Not too sure yet havent played it long enough, but couldnt see it being too high
Overall - 6/10 - A mod I do not highly rate, there are more mods out there that do the same thing as this mod but can do it better, and are not based off of a game.

Time for my Next review ^_^

***ONGOING REVIEW OF CIVILIZATION FORGE MOD BY MEPHANSTERAS***

INITIAL REVIEW AND THOUGHTS

Will do the whole review at a later date. Just a little pre-occupied today sorry

Ratings
Originality - 7/10 - Again this mod is very similar to most other mods with the fact that it adds new civilizations, even if there are lots, new materials, weapons, gear etc. So not the most original just it adds more of each than others
Bugs - N/A - Not played the mod enough to say
Modders Involvement - 9/10 - Meph seems to be constantly talking and replying to everything on the CivForge Thread always a good thing in my eyes.
Modders Perceived Kindness - N/A - Not really known. I barely check the thread of late and forgot about meph when I last talked to them :( Sorry meph
Integration of Ideas - 8/10 - The only real idea of this mod is to increase the experience u gain when playing DF. Which is definitely achieved as u get a lot more battles and a lot more traders etc. Always FUN!!!!1
Difficulty - 8/10 - lots of sieges and battles and u dont have to wait long till u have to get each attack. More attacks = more difficult. However not as difficult as Corrosion mod
Overall - 7/10 - Again not the most original of mods but the concepts are really good and there are pretty decent new materials and civilzations in this mod
