How much foot damage did he take? It'd be pretty cool if he didn't need crutches in the end.

I was wrong, it was his hand, not his foot: the fat from his second finger, right hand is gone. Also, a brown burn on his upper lip.

Just hope he wont die from infection.
If toady would implement hoods as bsibstitute for hands.. this would be very awesome.
Just to be sure, that is a type for hooks, right? Hood-hands would be odd and not very effective.

Made me remember an idea - Maybe artifact mechanisms could be attached to stubs to act as functional prosthetics (i.e. dwarf regains full use of the limb)

An arm made of adamantine mechanisms?  :o
The damage one legendary wrestler a dorf can deal with such arms!

But punches are blunt attacks, and adamantine is very light. Can dwarves scratch?

Hmm.. maybe they should have the same properties as hammers and not maces, then things might get interesting.  :D

The key in wrestling is strength, not mass. Sure, lightweight adamantine arms won't punch quite as heavily as normal ones, but that'll only be relevant until one of them is in a deathgrip on your throat.

And think about it! You could connect a floodgate, bridge or other somesuch to the dwarfs hands!

"Urist, the goblins are advancing!"
"I'm on it."
*Operates arms*
*Magma flows*
*Goblins burn*
"Good work Urist!"

Upon reading this thread, all I could think of was army of darkness, and the clockwork hand the blacksmiths made him. XD

When I read the first part, I immmediately imagined a dwarf that acts as a floodgate. Something like this:

"Urist, our miners punched through the wall leading to the river! The lower levels are flooding!"
"HAVE NO FEAR, URIST IS HERE"

Then he just walks to the water and stands there.
