Dwarf Fortress GUI enhancement

Sry for this kind of "request", but wouldn't it be possible to let DF look like in this picture:

I mean, The other layers are calculated anyway, so why don't show them slightly? Is it possible to make this? perhaps with an external overlay Frame for the UI, as it's just graphics (you still can only do things in the main layer. The 3 or 4 times calculation of ASCII shouldn't be that hard to take.

Tense greetings,

Sorry, but it's not possible via modding, it's hard coded into the executable. It would require another, separate program, which would likely take a long time to program for so little gain.

If you were actually making a suggestion for Toady and not asking the modding community, this is the correct board, at least I think. Just remember to use the search function first, as quite a few of us frown upon duplicate threads.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.
