Which mods should I get for Dwarf Fortress, that are well-made and fit the atmosphere and lore of the game itself. Mainly looking for adventurer mode mods. and how do i install them?

In my opinion Genisis Is one of the best ones you can get but there are others like wasteland survivor and others that have their own Great thing about them.

If you're a fan of Monster Hunter, you should get the Monster Hunter Universe mod by Iados. It adds a bunch of creatures from MH, with stronger bones, new weapons and metals, the ability to make a variety of poisonous ammo, and adventure mode crafting.
Also, you can play as a cat.
