just heard this gem by The Megas. I really like a lot of their acoustic covers, especially this one and the quick and the blue.

Horrendous. The singing is terrible as well.

That's a great example of when you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT do an acoustic version of the song because it sounds like utter crap that can only be appreciated by the niche group of nerds who like songs edited to sound like chiptunes that sound even more deformed that usual by adding instruments which simply don't fit in with neither the rhythm of the song nor the texture of the sound.

Here is an example of an acoustic version of a song done right.
Here is the original, which was the only good song on the album that destroyed this brilliant band for many years. At least it drove them to produce the albums they released in 2005 and 2008 which were excellent in all regards.
