Sieges????

At the moment my fort is doing okay but I am currently besieged by centaurs and don't have a capable military yet so my question is, do sieges leave after a set amount of time or am I stuck

Sieges do leave after a while... A long while. Can be 2-3 seasons without migrants, caravans and general surface stuff.

Assign one or two dwarfs to military, give em crossbows and make bolts out of whatever you have lying around. Even a couple of dwarves plinking away at a siege will kill things, and they get tired of dying sooner than they'll leave normally.
