Can new sieging civs be modded in?

I see that new civs can be added, but say I wanted to add a race of elephant-men that would siege your fortress to take vengeance for all of their nonsentient brethren who have died at the hands of dwarves. I looked at the civs in the raws, but couldn't figure out what makes a civ siege. Can such a civ be added, or are goblins the only option for now?

Those tags are pretty bad right now.  You kind of want to mimic one of the existing races, or it'll go all nuts.  Over time I hope to separate it out, but it's not as separate as it looks right now.  You might have to treat elephants like humans if you want a siege like humans do, or you can set them up as baby snatchers.  nothing really fitting though.

Well can I add what creatuers the goblins bring with them instead?

I think they just bring [EVIL] creatures that live near them.  All very disappointing right now.
