Can't Make Steel

Ok, so I must be overlooking something really basic, but I can't tell what it is.  I can't make pig iron or steel at my mama forges even though I've got plenty of supplies: 129 iron bars, 8 pig iron bars, 18 coke, 45 charcoal, and over 99 marble all accessible and unforbidden.

What am I missing here?

Starting basic, no offence intended:

1) Got enough magma under the forges?
2) Got a furnace operator?

There's a bug with burrows that won't allow you to use items outside of it, if your smelter is in the area of effect.

No offense taken, thanks for the reply.  Had mama bad furnace operators, turns out the problem was burrows!
