Does anyone know of any games that are like ultima 7? I've been looking all over the place and I just cant seem to find anything that is quite right

Teudogar and the Alliance with Rome. Same perspective, similar dialogue system, npc schedules, etc.. Much more brief (especially if you choose to ally with Rome), but pretty good overall. Plus it's got a rather interesting magic system and a much better combat system. The author is also supposed to be making a bigger, similar game called Darghul. Although when that'll come out is anyone's guess.

Oblivion got the part about being able to move anything in the world around. It even tried to do a similar dialogue and AI system. Although the AI system turned out quite worse. Not to mention all the other problems.

Other than that I can only think of other games in the Ultima series, most notably 6 (including spin-offs), 8 and the mmorpg.

Thanks for the reply. I will have to check that out. Ultama 7 was my favorite. Ultima 8 just didnt seem right to me. Thanks again! hope I get some more replies too! I need to fill my computer with this stuff

Ultima VI was good too, if you don't mind the turn based aspect. Ultima VII: Serpent Isle is good too if you haven't played that.

There are also remakes of Ultima V and Ultima VI in the Dungeon Siege engine. You have to have Dungeon Siege installed since they use that engine, but they are quite good.

Hours of fun to be had in those two remakes. It's worth purchasing the otherwise bland game Dungeon Siege just to play the remakes.

Thanks for the reply. I have played Ultima 6 twas good, I just like the way everything was set up in 7. I looked at the remake stuff but I'm not sure about buying a game just for a graphics upgrade. I'm really surprised that is so hard to find games like U7. Its a fairly well known game, I would have thought more people would have been inspired by the game at the time. Anywho! thank you once again!

Also expanded dialogue, quests, and (to a lesser extent) interactivity.  If you don't mind the occasional instability (mostly when teleporting), they're fantastic remakes.

haha! I just got that yesterday! Its pretty good so far
