It reminds me of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's speech on how the atoms in our bodies were born in the crucible of stars, which then exploded and spilled out their life-giving elements to the universe.

Very interesting, and pictures of the stars are always nice to look at, my favourite was this one, quite an amazing view :)

But it's the truth! Every heavier than hydrogen and helium (Except for some very, very tiny amounts of lithium) was produced inside stars. And the stars went Boom! when they died, and spilled their star guts out into the universe, and in the proccess also made even heavier elements (Because normal fusion reactions inside a star can only produce elements up to iron, but supernova explosions produced everything heavier than that.), and we later formed from said star guts. Oversimplified, I know, but it's a good way to explain it to small children and the simple-minded.
