2nd Year the Elf caravan arrived and brought a caged stray Cow corpse and a caged stray Bear corpse.  The caravan was also horribly overweight.  They did, however, manage to pack everything up and carry it off.  I wasn't able to trade with them because I couldn't afford to buy the heavy stuff with what I had to trade with at the time.

They did arrive from the direction of high mountains - could the caged animals have died by freezing while crossing over?

That's pretty funny.  Stupid Elves are just trying to rip you off.  I know they don't think too highly of Dwarves, but believing that they can sell them a bunch of dead animals is an insult on their intelligence.  LOL!
