[33F] Masterwork food?
« on: December 17, 2007, 03:03:00 am »

A masterwork of my cook has been "lost" and is now miserable.  The only masterwork that dwarf can make is food, so I assume it has been eaten, as there is also plenty of space in the food stockpile.

the food may have rotted in the workshop, this happens alot because the hauling job is pretty low priority.

I lost my best chef to melancholy after his fabulous food rotted in the kitchen.
In my case, the haulers stood ready to store the food, but had nowhere to take it.
May sure your stockpiles capable of holding prepared food are not full. (I now have a giant food storage cellar, and a Sous-chef making the slow climb to legendary)

Is your food stockpile in a heavily-trafficked area? If you have dwarves walking over food, it will eventually "break" if it isn't in a barrel, which most prepared food isn't. I'd imagine this would count as being destroyed, eh?

I'm not sure this is actually true.
