How do I unequip armor?

I have a copper helmet I want to equip, but I'm wearing an iron mask right now and I don't know how to unequip it. How do I unequip items? I've looked at the key bindings, but I can't find anything. (P.S, which one of these armors is better? If the mask is better, I don't even need to take it off.)

You have to "r"emove the mask, then "p"ut it into a container. Then you "w"ear the copper helmet. If you still can't, it could be because you are wearing too many things on your head. In that case, remove everything and wear the helmet first, then whatever things you are still able to wear.

Iron mask is obviously better than a copper helmet

But maybe reorganizing everything the way I said you are able to wear both items, I don't know. It's worth a try, anyway.
