Flooded floor tiles not always muddy
« on: November 23, 2007, 12:08:00 am »

I have an irrigation system for my farm, like (probably) everyone else...

Except when I flood my fields, every tile doesn't turn muddy. Sometimes up to half of a field (that has 1/7 water on it) fails to muddy.

I have never heard of this being a "feature" so I am led to assume that it's a bug.

(I don't have an irrigation system for my farm. I built it in naturally farmable soil.)

Tiles can also dry out and not destroy the farm tile above, resulting in needing another flooding and you don't know when...

Maybe a fix for that would be a "moisture level" when you q-select a farm? Or highlight dry tiles in red when you q-select a farm...

Destroying the farm tile would suck, because it would count that one tile (if you replaced it) as a completely different farm. :P

As opposed to what it used to do: dry out in winter and destroy the farm. :P
It no longer does this, so you can have a (useless) farm on top of perfectly dry stone.

Very annoying.
