Flux in embark map?

I noticed recently that sometimes (I ran it on a mineral freq of 400 or so) when you are looking for a map site, any of the sits that actually have flux stone are not labeled as such. I found this out when I wa using site finder, which (with input multiple shallow metals, no aquifer, yes flux) lit up almost all the map (because of the high mineral setting), but none of those sites seemed to have the 'flux stone' label along with the 'soil' label and the 'shallow/deep metals' label. When I embarked there, I confirmed that there was indeed talc at that site. Have other people experienced this? (Interestingly, I think on all the sites I have previously embarked to where it has said 'Flux stone', there was marble around).

Has anyone else experienced this?

I noticed that with older versions then .25 too.... so here's a quick search within .23 (dfhack working):

Finder set to 4x4 and Flux to yes
Spoiler: dfprospector -ab (click to show/hide)

and in this case the flux is marble only

The embark screen only lists flux if you have shallow flux. The site finder looks for any flux, including deep marble layers.

I also think something is wrong with the sitefinder and embark layer preview. Rather often I don't find any kind of flux on embarks that are marked as such. That happens usually when first layer consists of claystone. Similarily sites that don't have the flux tag often contain such stones in the first layer. There seems to be some misunderstanding with the site finder which stones actually count as flux and which don't (like the damn claystone). It seems to always recognize chalk for example but never (?) dolomite and some others.

On my last custom generated map the finder also marked almost the whole map as containing flux stone while quite the opposite was true. Then again maybe it just doesn't read out custom generated worlds accurately (design world option).

(I always check the maps with DF reveal first btw - so no way I could have overlooked flux stones that often)

Based on posts above, I think the site finder is accurate, but Flux Stone only shows in the list if its shallow.  I also usually see flux listed for the majority of the map via the finder, but almost never have it listed with the Shallow/Deep Metal(s).

No, whether the flux stone is shallow or not doesn't have anything to do with the problem. I generated a lot of world which were supposed to have flux stones in almost every map square according to the site finder (and to some degree also the embark layer preview) but in most cases there simply wasn't any to be found - not even marble. I solved the problem by adding 10 layers above the first cavern for newly generated maps. Now flux can be found all over the place because marble is a fairly common occurence. The site finder seems to be more accurate now as well.

Didn't have anything to do with claystone, etc by the way. I generated a few maps (before the change in settings) where dolomite was properly recognized and claystone wasn't listed as flux. I'm still confused as to why the site finder and site information were so inaccurate before.

Also, obviously, magma avalanches and tsunamis weren't exactly a contingency covered in the mission briefing.
I can assure you that Ardentdikes is not the first fortress to be flooded with magma. What's unusual is that we actually meant to flood it with magma.
