Make me a Kingdom

So im looking for a game on the PC where i control a town/inn/guildhall and heros move out from it for quests and stuff.  Upgrade/research new stuff but dont control the actual questing.  Something like Majesty with a bit less rts stlyings.  Im a rabid DF and LCS player so graphics are no issue, ideas?

Had hinterlands, and it did scratch a bit of an itch, but at the same time it sucked just enough to irritate me. Ill have a look at stronghold kingdoms
