[Help] Strange Mood
« on: April 02, 2011, 12:18:12 pm »

Right now I have a dwarf wit ha strange mood, and he is idle in the middle of my STOCKPILE, and he didn't claim a workshop, and I'm beginning to fear that he will start a tantrum spiral. I don't want it to ruin my first base above 30+ dwarfs, and I don't have any deaths yet. I got 19 migrants early summer. HELP.

If he stands still in the stockpile, it means that you don`t have the workshop he needs, i think.

Thing is, how do I know which he wants? (The good news is that NONE of my dwarfes are unhappy so hopefully he wont start a tantrum spiral or go berserk).

Also, look at what skills he have. If you're lucky, it's a migrant, and he'll be a novice clothier / novice liar or something, for example. You'll know he'll need a clothier's shop then.

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

He is already legendary ? He's going to jump to Legendary +4 or Legendary +5.

Anyways, while clothier is a very fey elfy profession, a legendary clothier can be an excellent source of income.

Kill/cage him.

You're lucky then; he is harmless and will just wander around. All of my failed moods inevitably end in !Berserk! and little bits of insane dwarf splattered all over the walls.
