I either read or imagined there was a way to dig down multiple z-levels without designating each level manually or with a macro. Can anybody help me clarify this?

Quickfort allows multi z level designations so you can have a pre-designed say 20 deep stair way with a single press, or potentially your entire fortress.

there's a way of sorts, though I haven't got it to work for more than a single square at a time. Say you want to designate a stairwell of up/down stairs 20 z-levels down. Designate with the mouse, hold the click while going down 1 z-level at a time. Seems to work like a sort of vertical designate line.
