Fever effect on body temperature?
« on: April 02, 2011, 09:59:10 am »

Does fever-unducing syndromes increase body temperature?

If so, my modded poisonous war-cats could make an enemy spontaneously combust. If said enemy had a high constitution and got past the traps, it could also bring dwarfy !!fun!! to my food/booze stockpile containing wooden barrels and a few graphite pots.

Costs a fortress but WORTH IT

You know, even a REALLY bad fever only increases body temperature by 14 degrees. A fever high enough to cause combustion would kill him almost instantly with massive brain damage. Of course, this is IRL logic, not DF logic. Feel free to try for !!Science!!

You'll have to provide warm, moist kittens at the end of each test chamber.
