Odd thing about world gen.
« on: April 02, 2011, 12:11:19 am »

I found little to no dwarf civs. Could anyone explain this to me? I played this world for 1050 years.

Dwarves, elves, and goblins are not presently in the game in the manner of having towns and such. They appear in worldgen, interact there, and have caravans and invasions, but you can't find them in Adventure mode. What towns there are will just be empty. Humans only for now, since the questing was massively overhauled.

Cities are going to make an appearence soon, so maybe they'll be back not too long after.

Ok, I thought the Dwarfven race was going extinct for a moment. I've found one Dwarven civ that changes it's leaders every season! Talk about political instability. Another question is why do I see some civs histories ending in 253 or 497 in the world gen?

Famine, beastly-mishap (e.g., FB or similar/bigger), wars, famine.  You know ... the usual for a DF world. :D

Zepave Dawnhogs the Butterfly of Vales the Marsh Titan ... was taken out by a single novice axedwarf and his pet war kitten. Long Live Domas Etasastesh Adilloram, slayer of the snow butterfly!
Doesn't quite have the ring of heroics to it...
Mother: "...and after the evil snow butterfly was defeated, Domas and his kitten lived happily ever after!"
Kids: "Yaaaay!"
