What An Odd Item
« on: April 01, 2011, 07:56:17 am »

Going through my refuse piles to dump things that aren't usable, I come across this

What is this I don't even?  :o

(related note: am I going to have to mod my dorfs to get them to use corpses of enemies and pets?)

Anyone else get really weird things like this?

Canine teeth in the upper jaw are called "eye teeth".

I know, right? Just from this game I've learned tons of mineral names, I learned about bituminous coal and lignite, what mineral makes what metal (galena is a pretty name for a mineral that makes such a toxic metal with such deadly uses), I learned what tripe and sweetbread is...let's not even get into the list of gem names that's been firmly implanted in my mind.

I also learned that killing elves is a-okay.

Teeth like that can be used in strange moods that require ivory...theoretically.  I've only had one guy go insane from not having ivory, and teeth was the only thing I didn't have in the list (or perhaps shells, but I didn't get a chance to test that)
