stockpile settings disrespected
« on: November 20, 2007, 08:09:00 pm »

Basically, meat that's spoiling (damage) while inside of a barrel that's a "meat barrel" that's sitting in my FURNITURE stockpile along with booze barrels.
And of course food stockpiles that are designated to hold only seeds are getting other food barrels in there, too.

Oh, and apparently the game doesn't care about min/max barrels in this case.  :(

*looks at title, then promptly flips bird at "Stockpile Settings"*

It is now...  :p

Anyway, sounds to me like your people are using barrels without hauling them. Empty barrels are considered furniture, and barrels get used before they get moved.

No, these barrels HAVE FOOD IN THEM and are sitting in the furniture stockpile.

As well, a food stockpile not designated to hold meat would still have meat barrels placed onto them. The odd thing is that i dont think this bug existed in 33a

i dont have an answer, but i have a similar problem

i have a weapon stockpile next to an ammo stockpile, so i set my weapon pile max bins at 0

and my ammo max bins at 1

my brilliant dwarves walked right past my 50 or so crossbow bolt stockpile with only 1 spot missing, straight to my weapons stockpile which only has ONE crossbow in it, plunked down the bin, threw in the crossbow, and wandered off to go be stupid elsewhere

yeesh
