Cavern collapse in volcano
« on: October 30, 2007, 07:02:00 pm »

Upon arriving to the location to start my outpost I was informed of a cavern collapse in the middle of the volcano, even though the volcano is essentially a giant open hole in the earth.

That's pretty cool, actually. Makes it look like a volcanic eruption.

There are a few places where it seems like it manages to disconnect itself before it gets started.

In my experiance, this is caused by a pond that started in the volcanos.

Ponds in volcanos turn into instant-obsidian, and if they are smack in the middle of the volcano with no support, they cave in.

The same thing happens if you pour water into a volcano- you get a hard crust of obsidian and a lot of collapses.
