My fortress flooded but one dwarf just won't die
« on: October 13, 2006, 08:46:00 am »

I accidentally flooded one of my earlier fortresses yesterday and all my dwarves but one died.  The last peasant stood on the door of his bedroom where he had woken up, spamming drink cancellations from underwater, as he had foolishly filled his own doorway and bedroom with water.  He never died and I just abandoned the fortress.

Did the dwarf have a blue background?  That would at least tell us if the game thought the dwarf was drowning.

Unfortunately I don't remember, I will definitely copy a save when I find a bug from now on.

Yeah, it's hard to say what's going on.  The door could be saving the dwarf somehow, like some other buildings do.

He'd've died eventually.  "Cancel Drink: Dangerous Terrain" and dehydrated himself surrounded by water.
