No more multilated elvish corpses?

Having chosen a civ thats at war with the elves, other then a massive ambush 4 years back no sign from the wooden stick guys anymore. Does anyone know how regular do they come? Or are they all dead and that was one last push by the elves?

I had them (the elves I was at war with) stop attacking after a HUGE siege, where I captured their princess... Was kind of disappointing, but the goblins filled the gap.  The elves were at war with the humans, so that might have distracted them...

2 years with no further attacks, though, but I was distracted by trying to invade hell.  Did not work out quite as well as I'd imagined, but I did manage to floor over one of the glowing pits...

Oh , so your saying that once I killed a elvish noble , they stop coming? I think theres an "E" which is flashing somewhere in my fort. The prisoner execution section.
