I want to give myself a challenge, how do I go about doing this?

Remove the [MEGABEAST] and the associated tags like SPHERE and DIFFICULTY.  Give them a biome if they don't have one (too lazy to check) by adding [BIOME:ANY_MAIN].  Then you probably want to up their population (the amount alive per biome), their cluster size (the amount that appear on-map at a time), and their frequency (higher means more common).
