The fortress is inaccessible... But lets trade there any
« on: October 10, 2006, 06:22:00 am »

The human traders told me that they would be bypassing my inaccessible site... I thought okay, I haven't bothered to build a road so I expected this, but I don't need any of their goods at the moment so no problem. Two minutes later, "Merchants have arrived and are unloading their trade goods."

They came to trade anyway. Not supposed to happen, right?

I think it's safe to assume, that they've came with mules only. Not their super tasty wagons :P

Well, they still didn't completely bypass my site. Only a minor quibble.

It says something like "the merchant wagons have bypassed your inaccessible site".

Wagons being the key word. Or maybe keyword. I can't remember.

DO NOT JUDGE ME

Still, there has been some confusion about this.  It should probably mention in the same message that you get the mules.

Incidentally, I still haven't heard anything from the humans in four summers, including anything about caravans bypassing me.

Did you take a look at your world map, if you know where you are?  (you'd have to have it handy, or you'd have to backup your save and go to legends and export)  It's possible there aren't any human routes to your civ, though that's very rare.  If you've received humans once, and there's a caravan stuck on your site, they won't come again until you get rid of those.

I don't know where I am on here, or what to look for if I did, but I do know that my climate is warm.

What symbol am I looking for, and can I safely assume it's on the west side of a mountain?

It's the capital omega, like the rest of the dwarf civs, except it'll be on a larger mountain range with no dwarves.  You can png and imageshack the image if you want everybody to have fun looking for it.

I just might, but not today.

Have to take a hiatus from the game to finish a school project.

Is it bad that I play this game so much that two days is a "hiatus"?
