Just pour the magma. It'll slaughter FPS while it's pouring, but when you're done and the fortress is completely submerged (or at a level that suits you, it should go back to normal! Good luck reaching HFS through that though.

Their pathing cost shouldn't be that high while sealed up in the fort though, I should have thought - it's when you open up the fortress that your FPS will plummet.

Anyway.

Yeah, this embark's long gone now anyway. It bugged out. The fort was already open out onto the caverns and there wer zombie slugmen wandering around out there, so...

Magma might not help, but Magma and water will.

Will HFS spawn outside of hell if you fill it with Obsidian?
