Blue pauses a second "Well, old timer, I could use a drink, but what I'm after is related to my parties missing boat...seems we had a boat, now we don't. I'd be appreciative to anyone that could point us in the right direction as to where it might be."

((Roll d10+d8 = 13 success))

The old salt is quiet for a moment and Blue's acute senses detect a bit of hesitation.  "Son, come a bit closer so I don't have to shout..." he mutters a bit gruffly.  When Blue complies, the man speaks more softly then before, almost under his breath.  "I don't know nuthin' about that boat, mister, but I reckon you and your friends might want to have a little chat with a few of the bar patrons.  They... well never mind, probably nonsense.  And you didn't hear nuthin' from me, dohn-ma?"

Abbey turns away from a heated exchange with the dockmaster for a moment to address the doctors concern.  "Just leave everything by the ship right now, this son of a... wonderful mother is still dancing around the issue."

Lu nods at Abbey and sets his equipment down, sitting on a barrel by the docks he waits for something to do.

Coal perks up as Mayor Cabot speaks, this sounded like something he could help with.

Grinning (Which had a horrible effect on his mutilated face) he speaks loudly to no one in particular. "Some people find it much more difficult to dance when their feet have been cut off."

He stands behind Abbey, folding his arms and giving the Boatman his most devastating stare.

((roll of 1d12 = 7, success but it don't get you much.))

"Hey, hey, that's not funny!" The Dockmaster, a balding middle aged man who looks like he's already under enough stress, shifts his eyes nervously to Abbey and Neil, hoping that one of them will reign Coal in.  Abbey just rolls her eyes and Neil doesn't even blink.
"Look the boat it's... sunk.  It's not my fault!  I'm not the bastard you should be angry at, I swear!  Oh dammit, why did you have to come here?  Just leave me the hell alone before they come after me too!"

This provokes an indignant reply from Abbey as to the location of the payment for the craft which earns a retort from the dockmaster that it wasn't his fault she went looking for trouble and the argument resumes again, angrier then before...

Coal growls in his throat. He wasn't being paid so some idiot with the manners of da shiong la se la ch’wohn tian could argue with his employer.

Coal pins the Boatman to the wall, whispering in a dangerously dispassionate monotone. "She is Mayor, you will adress her as such. You are a bastard true enough, but you will not use such words in a converation with her. You will be polite and forthcoming, or you will have the misfortune to trip and fall onto some bullets. Dohn luh mah?"

"Merciful Buddha, get him off!  Get him off!"  The man screams in open panic as he is mercilessly tossed around.  He stares at Abbey with panic in his eyes, pleading.  The world halts for a moment with no sound other then the dockmasters faint, rapid breathing.  He looks upwards and closes his eyes.  Then Abbey opens her mouth to speak gently and...
"All right, all right, whatever you want.  Just leave me the hell alone!"
As you let the man go, he stares at you nervously then takes some money out of a desk drawer and shoves it at Abbey.  "Here, I didn't mean to cheat you, but they said they'd hurt me if I helped you..."
Abbey glances down at the money for a moment then says "Start talking."
Nervously, the dockmaster puts the money back down on his desk and starts explaining.  "When the last settlers cleared out of the ghost town, some bandits moved in and started callin' it home.  Three days back, I was out moving some steers on the boat and they came at me from the riverbank.  Slaughtered the beasts, burned the boat and told me that they would kill me if I talked.  Oh Lord..."
With that, the man slumps against the wall and falls down to the floor, shaking."
"Christ, Cole, remind me never to play poker with you." Neil breaks the silence shaking his head.  Abbey, ignores the comment and turns her head towards Cole a fraction.  "That was interesting, but ya might wanna scram before you kill this poor bastard."

When Abbey suggested everyone ask around about the boat, Cyrus respectfully declined, opting instead to stay with the gear. He was sitting on his life savings here, he wasn't about to just leave it out for some qing wa cao de liu mang to filch.

Lu walks over and pushes past Cole, quickly examining the dockmaster for any immediate signs of injury, finding none he stands up and walks over to Abbey. "控制你的宠物夫人,我不希望有一个适当的解决没有任何医疗设施。"

"Would you like to have a medical situation without any fingers?" Coal growled at Lu, after all he had just done them something of a favor. The boatman would probably be too damn afraid to cheat them anytime soon.

Coal needed the Lawman that he'd arrived with, couldn't hunt bandits with a doctor. Well, first thing to try is the saloon. Most people would be there, and the law would probably be questioning folk in its normal, circumspect, and entirely too gently way.

"What the hell are the others doing over there?"
Cyrus attempts to flag someone down from atop the crate.
"Excuse me. I need someone to watch my stuff. I'll pay you. I just need a small deposit beforehand and you'll get your money when I get back."

Blue responds, just as quiet "Thanks for the help..."

Blue then moves into the bar, while Erin stays and chats with the old men...he takes a look at the patrons.
Obviously enough, he starts with the bartender.

"Morning sir...can I get a drink? a shot of Ng Ka Py if ya please...
see I'm new here, and I'm also looking for information..." he says, lowering his voice...

Actions: Blue starts some investigatin' of his own, starting with the bartender and moving on to the patrons.
