will grazers eat without being in a pasture?
« on: March 15, 2011, 11:40:23 pm »

I ask because I never designated one and none of my grazing animals are dying off. The meeting area is near a bunch of moss and grass though. If they don't need to be in a designated pasture, it will cut down on micromanaging because they will just find their own food.

I suspect they'll eat, but they won't go out of their way (i.e.: out of the meeting area) to find food - my own un-pastured animals have starved, but on the other hand my meeting area was nowhere close to grass (or cave fungus, or what-have-you).

Yeah, if they're hungry and there's grass under them, they'll eat it.

If there's no meeting hall they will go out and snack to their hearts content. If there is a hall, they will starve themselves.
