The game raws are stored in the save, so you won't get any of the new creatures or anything, but you will get most fixes.

I recommend you start a new game at some point (after the next bugfix patch maybe?) to see all the new stuff. Like bees! And eggs!

SDL because I assume it is better for me than legacy.

I'm on 31.21 but have yet to have eggs or bees, so don't feel too bad :/
