Coming to terms with DF's uneven tiles
« on: March 16, 2011, 01:10:51 pm »

I've just started playing DF, and the biggest hurdle for me currently is the default tileset. I want to keep using it, actually, but since the tiles are taller than they are wide, rooms look skewed or elongated when they're really square. Is there a way to change that? If not, could you recommend some tilesets that stay close to the default one, or are at least newby-friendly otherwise?

EDIT: I seem to have posted this in the wrong section, and I'm not sure if I can delete it. I locked it for now and shall post again the relevant forum.

I've written bash scripts to make using DF easier under Linux!
