Tamed named animals remain aggressive
« on: April 30, 2007, 06:05:00 pm »

It appears that named animals remain aggressive even after "successful" taming. They can and do break free when being hauled between cages. Then proceed to slaughter any unaware passing dwarves/animals.

Ah, this is probably the same thing as the old civil war bug.  They probably don't forgive the tame creature for its offense against the civilization, and then it acts as a hostile.

Possibly. In watching the scene unfold there is usually no one present except the hauler. Then the elephant breaks loose similar to a goblin escapee. For single dwarves only the attacked dwarf/animal will retaliate. Squads of soldiers however will realiate when one memeber is struck.
