They took it in a single night.
They were fast and brutal. No one was left alive. They were everywhere, Goblins and trolls. The goblins, mounted on all sorts of evil beasts. The trolls, well, they didn't need mounts. I am the last member of Guildedpines, The former capital of our great civilization. Upon her dying word, I was to go to the new capital, so that We may found another city to replace the one lost.
We picked the seven of you, as you were the best and brightest we had to offer. You are our last hope. We will hold out at the Mountainhomes until the last Dwarf dies, axe in hand. We will send refugees as regularily as we can.... But it may be too late.

Blastoise clutched his shirt closer to his body as the horses moved the wagon to their new home. In his hand, this old, crumpled letter rested, as he read it for what must of been the millionth time. He hadn't told the other members of their true misson. For all they knew, this was just another expansion project. No, this was more. Much more. They were the final hope, as city after city fell to the filth of the goblins. This was to be the new Mountainhome. The former queen had sent her best messenger to deliver to this to him. When he arrived, from his back sprouted what must of been dozens of arrows. He had collapsed there, in his home. It took a few months, but it was finally ready. Two wagons pulled by the finest mares had left from the Mountainhome. It was exactly a month since that day. Blastoise looked around and smiled for the first time in months, They had finally reached their destination.
