Dwarves won't haul dead animals
« on: March 09, 2011, 10:52:42 am »

Hey everyone, I have a problem. A few animals have died in my meeting hall, and the Dwarves won't clean them up. I have check the setting menu and toggled a few things to no avail. Any advice?

Thanks in advance.

orders > refuse > dwarves gather refuse outside

Or something like that.

Well if you remove the [MULTIPLE_LITTER_RARE] tag from dwarves I think they have like 2-4 children each time they give birth. And if you get enough mothers up on the pillars you can probably get a good waterfall going.
Ashes are technically fire-safe.

Make sure they aren't forbidden.

Make sure you haven't disabled gathering of refuse.

Make sure you have a stockpile set to accept corpses and/or refuse.

If all that fails, make a garbage dump zone and designate the corpses for dumping.

If they were pets I think you'll need to build coffins rather than a refuse stockpile.

I'm pretty sure they still get hauled off, just like corpses still go to corpse piles even if they are your dwarves.

If you have a garbage zone you can dump then. That's what I usually end up doing.
