The game doesn't run
« on: March 16, 2011, 01:00:01 pm »

Hello everyone,

Once ago, I downloaded the game for windows and it worked fine. Now that I switched to linux (Fedora), I downloaded the linux version but when I try to run it, nothing happens. What should I do? I have already tried to run it via terminal, with the same results

you probably dont have all the SDL stuff installed. If you ran it from the terminal, it should give you error messages complaining about missing stuff. I forget exactly what all it needs. Sorry :|

What errors does it give?  SDL version? You are running the terminal in the df_linux folder and trying to run dwarf fortress as a script right?
Code: [Select]
[user@machine df_linux]$ ./df
Please explain what happens--"nothing" is the least descriptive way of doing so.
