Give it a try, look for bugs, but wait until some of the issues are cleaned up before moving over wholeheartedly...still, seeing some of those new grasses in the underground was pretty spectacular.

First rule of Dwarf Fortress: Never play the odd numbered releases seriously.
Second rule of Dwarf Fortress: NEVER play the odd numbered releases seriously.

Typically the odd releases are usually the wacky/buggy versions. I would say that 31.19 is good if you're not super serious with it; issues with ore and metal rarity/distribution make traditional forts a lot more difficult.

Although I'm in the planning phase of my next megaproject, I'll wait until a more bug-fixed/patched up version of 31.19 (or if .20 or higher otherwise) is released before I start the actual development process of my megaproject. Fortunately, I haven't reached the concept/drafting stage yet, so there will be time to spend worrying about a version suitable for getting my next airship off the ground, in a manner of speaking. So I can wait before the actual development. I mean, you saw how long it took for me to actually start getting to work on the actual Bloodfist from planning, to concept, to development; right?

I'm always up for a new challenge, and will be patient to wait for something stable enough to place a foundation on.

Lol. Ok, point taken (bee, point, get the drift?). Bee hives was one of the things I would like to play with, but me thinks me waits for the even numbered version to appear :)

Is, uh, metal rarity the reason I'm getting dwarven civs without copper tools and no iron anvils, but steel anvils.  Quite strange.
