Drinking at furthest possible point
« on: April 13, 2007, 02:49:00 am »

One of my Dwarves decided to drink from the outside river. Perfectly reasonable, but for some crazy reason he decided to walk to the very border of the map, quite possibly the furthest possible point away that he could go to get a drink.

A bug? I noticed that he was drowsy, but I don't know if that was because he was so hungry and thirsty by the time he reached his drinking spot.

Have you dug all the way north with any tunnels? I find they will go out of their way to the 'nearest' water tile even though its 3 miles of tunnel away.

One of my strip mines reached the top, but this was a craftsdwarf, so he shouldn't have been anywhere near the top of the map when he decided to go for a drink.

Still, I guess that explains it.

While you were watching the dude go all the way to the end of the map, all the other dwarves threw a party in your absence  :)
