First thing is to channel a three wide stairway, and 3x3 room for the Depot. Then a 1 wide stair leading to underground storage. (Reverse order if buzzards are present.)

Then a two wide stair leading down to a long hall, leading to another two wide stair, leading to a 1-wide hall. Then down a level, to construct 6 2x7 bedrooms, and one leader's quarters which has one 2x7 bed room, linked by a one tile hall to a 3x3 office which is in turn linked to a 3x3 dining room, though the office also has a table.

Then comes a main dining hall across from the bedrooms, along with a kitchen, and some farming area's, either with a murky pool, or a wood log channel to a channeled hole and a pump from a surface source.

Of course, I have yet to have a fort survive the first year. Usually due to critical fun overload.
